Before adding a custom token, be aware of the risks
Be aware that anyone can create a token, including fake or malicious versions of existing tokens. The risks of adding customs include, but are limited to you being impacted by:
- Scams
- Malicious tokens
- Fraudulent or fake tokens that pose as credible tokens
- Inaccurate token information
- Extreme and unpredictable price volatility
- Ponzi schemes
- Frozen tokens
- Tokens that could potentially steal funds from your wallet
This is a partial list of risks and there could be other emerging ones that are unknown. We encourage you always do you research before adding or interacting with any custom token.
Adding a custom token with the Trust Wallet mobile app
- From the main home screen, select the token icon in the top right. (Optionally, you can scroll to the bottom of your asset balance, and select Manage crypto).
- Select the + sign in the top right.
- Choose the Network.
- Enter the contract address of the token. Best practice is enter it by pasting or using the scan/camera feature.
- Other information including Name, Symbol, and Decimals will be automatically populated in many cases, but if that does not occur, and you are certain you have the correct contract address, you can enter the remaining information manually. We encourage you double check this information.
- Select Import to complete the process.
Adding a custom token with the Trust Wallet browser extension
- From the main home screen, scroll to the bottom of your asset balance, and select Manage crypto.

- Select Add token manually.
- Ensure the remaining information is filled in, including: Token Type, Name, Symbol, Decimals
- Select Add token.
